Tactile is an agency created to #changetheratio. We are focused on supporting early-stage woman founders and solo entrepreneurs at critical growth stages. To do this, we have built a new kind of agency mode that brings together the expertise of a creative agency, the intimacy of 1:1 coaching, and the training of online education. Read the story of how we came to be.
MEET OUR TEAM
Erika Velazquez Alpern, CEO & Founder
Erika founded Tactile to #changetheratio. Before launching Tactile she was the VP of Marketing & Communications for The New Republic. Prior to that, she led brand marketing for The Guardian and NewsCred, built an artist program for AOL and was the brand manager across all of their media properties. In a previous life, Erika was an independent curator and ran an arts magazine for emerging artists. When Erika isn’t doing Tactile-related things (which is rare!) you may find her making drawings for fun!
Signing up for sessions or a strategy workshop? These will be with Erika.
Jen Rudy, Director of Production
Jen leads Production at Tactile. She started her creative career in high school where she discovered photography and then went on to study at SVA. Since she enjoys creating content and from start to finish, she fell into the world of production and working behind the scenes of commercial shoots and campaigns. She spent a large chunk of her career working at Time Inc. in the production & art departments of various print magazines. When she’s not producing content, you can find her in a greenhouse obsessing over plants.
Amanda Rios, Director of Design
Amanda leads design for Tactile. She started her creative career back in high school when an obsession with vintage punk posters led to an obsession with screen printing. Her early printmaking days inspired her to study design and she has been crafting beautiful brand identities ever since. When Amanda isnt designing for clients, you can find her letter pressing, making shoes, or traveling. Recent trips include Cuba and an intensive type workshop in Paris. Amanda has been the creative mastermind behind projects and branding for companies like Pamela Love, Cora, The New Republic, The Guardian, Hearst, and more.
